When Mr Hutchinson first came to LA in his new role as CEO of PRS, he
had breakfast with PRS members.
He explained his horror as he compared the 'banking' system of PRO's
compared to the real banking world [which isn't perfect !].
He undertook a world trip to educate.
He was 'talked to' !!! [got at]
He did however put himself in danger by going up against the might of
ASCAP Sen Staff by being the first PRO to come to the USA via the AACO
to tell it like it is .
Followed by GEMA/SACEM/SGAE........ no USA PRO would do the same with
open Q&A !!
He managed to introduce 1-1 in the UK ... which some are trying to do
away with since they are now paid accurately !
He did communicate with members often... even me.
I would ask a question make a POV, usually an answer in MINUTES... not
the silence and arrogance we receive here from those who keep getting
caught out !!
He left PRS in disgust... retirement is the official line.
Sadly JH has been replaced by a broadcaster at PRS......... all
change... silence.
We learned far too much.
JH is a Gentleman, I miss him.
Now about those downloads... how are they to be paid in Canada????
