Subject: [Fmpro] Traveling with 88 keys

I was just looking into getting an 88-key lightweight controller and
an SKB case for travel purposes. Combined weight will be 50-60 pounds
-- I think that's within the limits -- but the dimensions of the case
exceed those allowed for standard luggage. I was wondering whether
anyone out there has flown with 88 keys lately --and if so, were
there problems (i.e., surcharges, check-in delays, weight issues)?

And if anyone has found a great slimline controller -- without all
the knobs and sliders, just keys please -- that fits in a carry-on
bag, that info would also be useful. (The big controller may not be
worth the effort.)

Thanks!
- Nick
