Les is pretty close to the bone with this statement ..Actually, the
Seattle local is a fairly week bunch that basically only has its hooks
into the Symphony and some of the pamphlet B show work. The scoring
deal has been going on up here for years because the people agree to do
it for what amounts to AFM limited Pressing scale- but without all the
paperwork ( and consequently the bennies as well )
They do the same kind of thing in Vancouver as well.
This is all an effort to make it appear to the LA film industry (that
has been decimated for years by runaway productions ) that the AFM is
on the case ( yeah, riiiight ..) and it'll try and find a sacriificial
ox to gore in the process.
and all that scoring work ?
