I've been wondering, in the world of film, what is a union job?
Scott just brought up the point that most cable tv is non-union...
I'm even wondering if there is a cable tv network that has a labor
agreement with the AFM?
I am assuming that the AFM has a labor deals with the major
studios for their productions.
What about co financed films that are made by non-studios?
What about international co-productions?
My fear is that the AFM is looking for money from films
that they do not have labor agreements with. That they are
not seeing a $4 million indie as a $4 million dollar indie film but
as a film with SAG actors (because you do need them if
you want good leads) maybe a DGA director and a $10
mil box office.
