Isn't the real point here.... it is the power of the suits who are in 
control........... their own personal empires, just like PRO's etc.

I accept power as a fact of life.  Its not as though my objection is based on a visceral anti-authoritarianism.  But how is that power being used?  Some systems, for example the Soviet system, are inherently unreformable.  I don't know whether that is true of this union or not but I suspect it is.  Unions are like a Petri dish for corruption and no amount of dressing it up changes the animal.

Bottom line, the highest principle is freedom.  Freedom to work, to choose etc.: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and property.  If those freedoms are being compromised there better be a damn good reason.  

What's happening in the Musician's Union today, in my opinion, is a classic example of a power structure having been hijacked by an elite, an oligarchy.  I for one am not going to sit idly by and acquiesce.
