Howdy all,

I may be late in this, but I just gave a young cousin who's entering  
college an old Ensoniq VFXsd, Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler, JV-1010,  
Kurzweil Micro-piano, little Mackie mixer.  Stuff I wasn't using,  
though the keyboard was my controller til just a few years ago.  I  
felt good, knowing that old gear would help a young, broke musician  
learn about sequencing, production, sampling, writing and arranging.   
I used the living heck out of that stuff, but since I've gone all  
uppity Mac and soft synths, that stuff has been gathering dust.

So feel good about letting someone be excited about your old gear.    
I still didn't give away my Juno 106 though.  And my Roland TR-505 20- 
year-old drum machine is kinda lame now.  Dang, I've been at this for  
a minute.
