[Fmpro] Marilyn Bergman: We Have More Songwriters!

In the article mentioned earlier this evening, it says:

" Marilyn Bergman, ASCAP¹s president and chairman of the board, explains,
³Unlike our competitors we¹re still 100 percent member-owned, and governed
by a board of directors that¹s elected by and from the membership [every two
years]. That fact is a competitive advantage for us.² Bergman continues, ³We
have more Billboard Top 10 artists, more Grammy winners, more Songwriter
Hall of Fame inductees and more Top 10 ringtone artists than any other
PRO.²"

Gee, not a single mention of film/TV composers, who write the majority of
music on ASCAP's largest revenue source, Television (local/net/cable).
Makes me wonder if in the world of Marilyn Bergman, score composers warrant
much more than a footnote...
