OK, but we're at 20 cents on the dollar for a one-minute instrumental cue
compared to a minute of song...??

Also, how do you feel about the "All music marked as background vocal is
paid an automatic feature performance" rule, which enables ALL songs,
regardless of whether they're in the background or sung by a live vocalist
onscreen, to receive "feature performance" (the highest) payment? This rule
has effectively changed ASCAP's system from payment by type of performance,
to payment by type of  music...
