This is not so.
I work with publishers in the USA & the EU who still accept the
composers right to the mechanical right.
One actually insist composers join MCPS in the UK so they can be paid
direct.
Guy Fletcher in the UK is actively changing contracts for his 'stable'
wherein not only do the composers keep their writers share, they get
part of the publishing and in some cases co-copyright.
It can be done.
Too many folks just wimp out here in the USA.
Stop doing it and the sore will heal.................. who will be the
first among you to make a stand?
