I see no reason why not to, if your music is or ever will be aired in the UK
and you have an interest in your own royalty income.
I for one and getting sick and tired of the PROs positioning themselves as
omnipotent authorities when it comes to the value of music. These kinds of
arbitrary rate changes, not to mention the HUGE rate differences between
score and song arbitrarily assigned by the US PROs at the behest of the
songwriters and their publishers, are nothing more than politically
motivated money-grabs.
And it's OUR (score compsoers') money they're grabbing.
