[Fmpro] NO one?? PRS changes?

Guys, here's the crux - Mr. Ryan has hit a nail on the head.
'Composers/FMN' needs to to form a 501(a) or a PAC (or both) and get a
lobby(ist), and use its membership to get members elected to the boards
of ASCAP/BMI/SESAC/PRS, all of which will take time, money and
organization, or nothing will ever change.
I nominate Mark and Les to put it together.
Endless kveching on this list will never do anything but wear down/numb
everyone to the problems at hand - we have work, clients, families;
etc. to
worry about, and everyone I know has to work much harder to stay afloat
now than they did 10 years ago. So endless analysis with no practical,
actionable
course just becomes white noise. Forget a guild, forget a union - get a
group
together with a small board, have 'members' pay $50/year to help hire
somebody,
and go political. It's great to be aware of the problems, and I read
every post, but I
can't help but think that the PRO people who read this list (and they
do read it - hi, Tim!)
find the perpetual lack of motion on any front (other than the PRS
petition) kinda pitiful.
Why should they respect our take on things?
