[Fmpro] NO one?? PRS changes?

Pete,
Your analogy sounds pretty good, however the difference is, no one selected
the seed and put it in the apple. The music in the ads were specifically
written and/or selected to fit the ad. If we knew what kind of seed the
worm liked and placed it in the apple, we could conclude that it would eat
its way through the apple to get to the seed. Ultimately, the worm would
enjoy both the apple and the seed just as viewers enjoy the ad and the music
jointly.
The music was selected and placed in the ad for a reason...to add to the
overall package of the ad, thus being responsible, in part, for the
millions. An ad with crappy music may not be as effective as one with the
right music.

Yes, the ads are worth millions to broadcasters.
Yes, there is music in the ads.
But, you can't conclude from there that the ad music
is worth millions to broadcasters.
That's like concluding... an apple has seeds, and
worms like apples; therefore worms like seeds.
