Pete,
I don't know what planet you are on but I suspect it simply can't be
earth.
Presume a writer does get $10k upfront for a commercial...... so
what.. songwriters get much larger amounts [see STONES etc]..
[I posted days ago AACO songwriters agreed CPA needed to be paid
accurately and BETTER.
No one has yet proved to me broadcasters do NOT pay at 1-1..........
so how would paying jingle writers at the same level take money out
of the 'composers' pocket.......... isn't it the other way around at
this time ????
Hmmmmmm my last payment for ELR was something like $20.00 still
wanna swop?
HOWEVER........ since the cue ........ after a HUGE battle with ASCAP
which proved the cue sheet set up was at best.... almost fraudulent
on a global basis..........and with the assistance of my old
adversarial chum Doug Wood........ the cue was finally registered as
a Featured Performance.
The Publisher had messed up....... so did the all knowing ASCAP
analitical service...........
we are surrounded by salaried idiots..................
BUT.......... since the ELR programme is a 'hit' I did receive the
approx 1/3 bonus....... the guys who have all the cues must make out
like bandits...........
No one has yet told me how a 'hit programme' is deduced?
Anyone know?
I'll trade every ASCAP check I get with yours Pete..... ok?
