     David Foster writes:  "...rumors of my demise are greatly   
exaggerated."  Actually that was a quote by Samuel Clemens, who, like  
Stephen Foster, also died debt free, but sadly in relative poverty.   
Stephen died 50 years before the founding of ASCAP, but the two  
events could be related.

     Speaking of immortality, did anyone notice that ASCAP is taking  
on the outward appearance of the Masons with every new election?   
Ooops, I forgot the secret handshake, Dang!
