Depends on which lawyer you talk to.  Some believe that derivative
copyrights that are the same piece of music with a different name are on
shaky legal ground, untested of course. Others believe otherwise.

What I can tell you is that the number of "renaming" libraries is going
through the roof, both for instrumental music and song, so there's bound to
be a court case at some point.

A good legal question: Does taking a piece of music (a recording) and
changing its name create a derivative copyright? If so, what are the legal
rights involved with that vs. the original copyright? Are they 100%
separate?
