You've paid your dues, worked hard, networked and finally landed the
job, a National radio jingle. [ as an example].
You have also learned the business you are in and you know the folk
who broadcast have to follow the law.
The Copyright Law.
This means by one method or another the broadcaster has paid for
every single piece of music aired throughout the day.
You know your 'product' was not Direct Licensed, so you wait.
You hear your music on air, many times, friends call and tell you,
'heard it in such and such State etc etc'.
The statement comes from your PRO covering the time period[s] of your
airings and there is no pay, zero, zip, 'sorry' !
You call, 'sorry didn't turn up in the survey.'
You call the Ad Agency, as they often will, they send the Media Buys,
you send them in to your PRO, 'sorry, didn't turn up in the survey'.
That's it?
Your airtime was bought and paid for but you don't get paid.
That's it !
Who is ultimately responsible for you not being paid?
Don't be a shrinking violet here......... who do you think it is?
Free glider ride for the person who gets the correct answer, today.
