One other advantage of having a Euro PRO as your primary PRO is collection
of mechanicals. In Europe most PROs have sister mechanical societies (MROs)
who collect all types of mechanical royalties worldwide. Being a member of a
Euro MRO is a great way to enhance your ability to collect Mechanicals,
especially if you do a lot of work with smaller or midsize publishers (or
self-publish). Rather than hoping the publisher collects from the foreign
MRO and decides to pay you, you can get paid directly in many cases from the
foreign MRO and avoid those pesky "admin" charges to publishers love to
charge writers...
