I was involved in?London with very serious discussions concerning musicians withdrawing their services.
Some musicians I spoke to were of the opinion it would be a good idea, as?it would mean more work for them!!? Unfortunately, this is the mind set of too many composers, who, unlike the Writers, don't have a Union.?There's always Mr. Freebie Undercut?waiting in the wings for his 'big chance.'? We're our own worst enemies?- and that is wonderful ammunition for those people hiring composers. (And those who collect our royalties.)? I don't know how we can change the status quo,?but I sure wish we could.
