A rapper is a vocalist. Chuck D didn't make the music.
Public Enemy had other people making the music. I
thought it was brilliant music. We might not have
loops like we have today if it weren't for Public
Enemy. The technique has been done to death, so it
doesn't sound as fresh. But, at the time it was really
unique.
