Just the opposite, Pete -- actually by having a history with Public Enemy
and then refusing to work on an album because Griff was involved you have
(had) an actual stake in the situation vs. me who is simply reporting the
story. Unlike you, I've never worked with any of these folks.

Now you know what I run into on PRO stories all the time.

Many composers are more than willing, in private, to say all kinds of things
about their concerns and complaints with the PROs.

But when it comes to making any public statements, nobody wants to go "on
the record" and publicly state what they're so willing to state privately
and know to be true. Everybody stands back and waits for me to generate the
news because nobody wants to publicly criticize ANYBODY in this business -
they'd rather see somebody else (me) go out and do it and be on the
receiving end of the inevitable backlash from those whose negative actions
we report.

And so it goes...

Best,

Mark Northam
