[Fmpro] Canopus ADVC110 or 300?

Interesting. Not knowing what your purpose is, no way to evaluate how  
useful a device with the specs that the manufacturer has listed on  
their website would be. Looks useful for cleaning up  old VHS tapes   
a bit, I can imagine that one might use it to construct a decent  
looking demo reel from old VHS.

I wonder if Canopus is doing some heavy marketing to sell these  
devices to unsuspecting film composers, or is there really good use  
that these can be put to that simply connecting your VCR to a DV cam  
and firewire to your computer won't do?
