[Fmpro] 50mil TV show downloads, 1.3mil movie downloads, zero composer royalties

This, from MacWorld today:

"Jobs said that the iTunes Store has sold 50 million TV shows through the
iTunes Store. And within four months, the service has sold 1.3 million
movies. "Which I think has exceeded all of our expectations," he added"

50 million TV shows, 1.3 million movies, zero composer royalties.

I have to wonder why composers aren't speaking up about this... Why aren't
ASCAP and BMI launching major efforts to get these royalties and enlisting
the help of their tens of thousands of members?
