[Fmpro] song placement vs score

Hi Jo Ann:

I do think the term that applies to what you're asking is "song
placement" as opposed to actually writing film score material specific
to a given fim ,and yes, there are people who specialize in handling
just the type thing you need.

You'll need to do some research on just who would be a proper match for
your talents, and BE CAREFUL ..there as many bottom feeders in this end
of the business as there are reputable ones. Sign nothing without
consulting an entertainment attorney ..and also yes, you will have to
join either BMI or ASCAP ..both as an artist (and as a publisher if no
one else has the rights to your material. )

Good luck!
