  Sure, LeMone is probably very smart, a great humanitarian, and a 
personal friend (to some) for more than twenty five years.  The question 
is: why is he lurking, and sending notices that he will not be in his 
office for two weeks?

  If ASCAP is unwilling to engage in relevant discourse, these notices 
of "I will be out of the office" -- that are obviously machine generated 
-- are meaningless and offensive to myself, and perhaps other active 
participants of this Fmpro list.  Hold on, incoming from the Fmpro list: 
"...expletive deleted SHUT THE expletive deleted UP, YOU expletive 
deleted HUMMER!"  Okay, but just one last thing...

   The notices from ASCAP amount to little more than a speculative "You 
no-count composer creeps are all hard at work, struggling to survive, 
but I just bought a yacht.  See you in Cabo!  If you can't make it, just 
try and get yourself a job at ASCAP!  My overworked secretary's job 
might be up for grabs."

Perhaps I'm reading way too much into it.  I shut up, now.
