This is the kind of thing composers must really say "no" to.  Scripps
appears to be not only trying to save money, but is trying to turn
composition into a purely labor-only endeavor.  When someone hires a
composer, they're not paying so much for sweat, but primarily for the mind.
Making composers into day laborers hurts the value of the latter.

Let's encourage this "push" at Scripps to go nowhere.
