The SCL President made it very clear 'he has a deal with ASCAP'.....
what else need be said.

In fairness, many on the Board should be praised for what they
do........... they make sure the money goes to their folk. It is a
well honed system whereby 'our' money is spent to protect 'their'
money ... MediaGuide for one example............
NO, the problem is the folks we vote on who should be doing what we
want.
A recent new member, when challenged, kinda admitted not to know much
and intended to lay low for a while.
Sure, that'll fix it.

I think DW still goes coach.... is this correct Doug?

Perhaps not fear, more protection of the 'pot'.

Never got us anywhere... it was ALWAYS.. we'll get back to
you.......... I do not know of a single situation where anyone from
ASCAP 'got back' re substantive questions....... I do recall Seth
running like hell away from Vic Flick when Vic turned up at his
office in NY.

This appears to be true of PRS as well.
The PRs Board flat out lied to members............ called those who
questioned a 'rabble', silly, daft and self serving !!!!!
Pompous asses all.

Michael Moore............... which society is he in???

BE CAREFUL.............. the game may be over soon.
I must admit I did not yet read the website data referred to by Ms B
re downloads.... did anyone?................. IF there is no
performing right in a download [digital delivery] and all
broadcasting becomes on demand and digital**.......... will there be
a need for an ASCAP/BMI...... SESAC might survive.
Les
** Broadcasters only need to get the rules changed so a transmission
become a transfer and the due money will become a mechanical which
will either go direct to the Publisher or Harry Fox......... then we
will be 100% screwed.
