And by the way, I am not in favor of watering down the language in these
statements (see my previous post) so as to make them not "offensive" to the
ASCAP Board. The policies they have aimed at us ARE offensive and costly to
us, and they deserve an appropriate level of language in response. Making
them warm and fuzzy would only serve as yet another act of silly political
correctness that obfuscates and dilutes the seriousness of the issues at
hand.

Let's make no mistake: The ASCAP Board, through its actions, has
demonstrated utter contempt for instrumental composers and non-A-list
members for many years now. Being nice to these people has only enabled them
to continue and escalate the policies that have harmed instrumental
composers. It's time for straight talk and direct language to address these
issues.
