I've known DW for many years.

I was even on the Board of his PCA Org [Professional Composers of
America].
We bumped heads straight away when I learned the PCA was mostly
funded by Publishers.
I seem to recall most of the other board members were his
composers...... who were less than 'strong' individuals it seemed to me.
I resigned just before he changed the rules in order to get me off
the Board.

Personally I have no axe to grind with DW, I like the guy a lot, I
doubt we'll break bread again, but that would be his choice.

I recall DW taking over a high powered ASCAP meeting here in LA when
the 10% cap was an issue.
I often wondered why they allowed him to do that !!
What was the real plan.

DW had made it clear, once elected, if all did not go well, he would
resign in a very public manner spilling the beans as he did so.

All is not going well, as MN says, there is a litany of 'failures'
due to the ASCAP Boards of recent years.
Even simple things like no Q & A at General Meetings
Allegedly that was DW's idea.

The biggest one............... as Mr Ryan will attest............
watermarking was 'promised' by the CEO, within DW's
earshot.......... sure. and I've got gold under the desert sand I
live on ;-)

The CEO claimed he wanted 1-1 yet it seems never to be mentioned at
board meetings by him, why?
If DW wants a change in distribution, why not follow the CEO's lead?

Anyway, as you say Tracey, it is always cut n run..... with the usual
'friends' cry come election time.

DW, I love ya babe and thank you for at least engaging with the
minions, but step up.

Answers.

No more PC bullpukky............. make it well known all is not well,
resign and don't sign the non disclosure form.... or did you do that
already?

Best

Les
