[Fmpro] Doug Wood, that jerk!

Regardless of the intensely sensitive (and, in many cases,
career-changing) issues on the table, and our various opinions and
stances regarding them, I think we can all agree that without some form
of communication, there is very little possibility for actual change.
In this light, knowing his very presence will pretty much guarantee an
onslaught of pent-up anger and emotion to be directed at him (despite
the fact that he's may or may not actually deserve any of it), Mr.
Wood's willingness to simply speak in this forum is, in my opinion,
pretty laudable. While it remains to be seen whether or not any actual
positive change will come of this discussion, I personally appreciate
the opportunity to open at least some form of communication on what I
hope will be an ongoing basis.
