I guess I missed some posts somewhere, but who wrote DW [that jerk?]??
I may have issues with you as an ASCAP Board member, but do not
consider you a jerk.
With respect, I think you have surpassed yourself with this most
recent post.
Please see below...........

Would you deny they pay all music 24/7 at equal pay?
If so, PLEASE describe in great detail the entire monetary process,
with actual examples.

How can this be when the broadcasters pay at 1-1 yet the ASCAP Board
[etc] have sanctioned payment of 333-1 [if a great deal of music on
air ever makes the survey?]
Folks you read it correctly 333-1 <<
The broadcasters I know make no bones about the fact they don't want
to pay, they see ASCAP/BMI etc payments as a 'tax'.......... but they
do pay, and they pay at 1-1.
Years ago they also made it clear they 'see' song on the radio as the
crap they have to air between points of income.......... where does
that place commercial music?

Er hum................. again with respect DW........ I always said
the 'tape' survey was just a bandaid and opened up composers to a
multitude of more abuses by publishers.
I seriously doubt the gal at APM, who 'might' listen to the CD's
knows the entire Library.
I do know if they are miffed at anyone they kind of 'don't hear
it'............ I used to receive the CD's............ suddenly they
stopped............ no reason, why was that?
I know of no one who has ever rec'd any of this money.

DW, you'll have to eat your words here if you are talking about the PCA.
Some composers sent you money, you also stated to me funding came
from publishers.
I thought short term memory went first ;-)
The PCA was a great idea, but I would urge you to recall, my angst
from the git go was the involvement of publishers .

YES you did, and I'm VERY grateful**, MR Parry & I may need your
services again in the exact same situation............ I also worked
very hard to get you elected.
** You also wanted me to get involved in a non disclosure attempt by
ASCAP in order I be paid.
If ASCAP is on the up & up, why the need for non disclosures if they
made an honest mistake?
The sad part is, this was one mistake which uncovered a multitude of
errors on a PRO global scale...... I have to wonder how many others
members are losing $$'s because of corporate foul ups.

It still is DW, so why aren't you?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, come on.
Even your worst critics know what you are up against and do
appreciate what you do...... yes that includes me.
What you are not doing is reporting to your constiuents [which once
elected you then claimed not to represent]. The PMA no doubt gets
more data from you than this list.
I care not one jot about Broughton or Bellis, they never were part of
the shakers and movers, but you DW were/are.............. yet you
treat those who want to assist you with contempt.

Some might want to believe them !!!
Those who know me know I don't lie.

Backatchya.
You make people do and say what they say DW.
Look friend, you've been asked two very simple questions since your
post;
1 The amount of money transferred from Local TV income to Network TV
distribution 2006.
2 Data relating to the recent election.
Not only have you not provided the info, you haven't even addressed
the situation[s].
This inaction is why you get prodded.
Doug, don't know how many times I have to tell you that as a human, I
like you.
As a Board member you simply don't 'respond' and play a really silly,
almost childish, 'I know but wont tell you' game..
However, I must tell you this.
You are 100% correct in that you complained about PRS for years, I
defended them for years.
You were right,
The Board there is just as bad as the ASCAP Board, in fact worse,
they would have us believe they act in good faith on behalf of all
members, we know that isn't the case at ASCAP [333-1].
There is however a massive similarity between the PRS set upand the
ASCAP set up [something I have not encountered as a BMI member] no
one wants to answer honestly, no one wants to provide data.
Why?
With regard to the 2 points above.
If you can't provide data, please tell us why, name the rule/bye-law
etc which prevents you from doing so and if it is an
individual......... name them.
Your ball DW.
VERY BEST.... really............. come flying ;-)
