No, Pete, I made no such implications. That's your language.
All I asked for disclosure, and made no such implications. For you to accuse
me of this is way out of line, and only serves to take people's eyes off the
ball. You seem to have a big problem with this disclosure... Why? Whose
interests are you protecting by your current course of action? Maybe better,
whose interests are protected, and who benefits from non-disclosure?
Basic math tells us that if they only take 4% as an expense from foreign
royalties they handle for members, they must take more than 12% from
domestic royalties in order for the end result to be 12% overall.
But maybe they don't take 4%, maybe they take more on incoming foreign
royalties - we'll never know, because the numbers aren't shown on our
statements.
This is not about skimming money or anything of the sort. It's about common
sense business practices. It's about honesty, openness, transparency and
accountability. But in the interests of you and your 20 cent transactions,
I'll fully support waiving the disclosure requirements for transactions
under $10.00. Happy?
Best,
Mark Northam
