Lynne my Dear,
You're a student, whereas I thought you to be already in the world of
professional client relationships, now all is clear.
For more than 45 years folks like Vic Flick and I have given the
'Gregs' of the PRO world [who is he anyway???] a chance.
To date not one has ever told the 'real' truth, most get promoted..
even those staffers who read this list ;-)
I think my dear you are headed for a world of hurt.
However, as has been mentioned, kudos if you get TRUTH.... no b/s
Now watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd7fV1SOzuo
This guy gets the name wrong, as far as I know PRO's are Performing
Right Organizations, but he is 100% correct;
Surveys etc.. antiquated
PRO folks don't want accuracy... see watermarking
He doesn't fully understand the new ruling re downloads............
there is NO performing right in a download.... US PRO's can only
collect the performing right.... so why does he expect them 'evolve'
and collect UNLESS, they are granted the right to collect mechanicals
[which is the only right in a download, but not so in the EU where
allegedly a download does contain a 25% performing right !!].
With respect, you are beating a drum which has been beaten to death,
and many ARE dead who tried to get the PRO's to answer the type of
Q's MN asked...... but, carry on.
My guess is we will get answers as the ship finally sinks and the
critters run for it ;-)
