OK. Let's assume one is already in a contract relationship. If one has reason to believe that the other party -- in this case ASCAP -- is either not performing under the contract in good faith or is guilty of malpractice or malfeasance there may be grounds for a lawsuit.  From what I've read on this list it seems those grounds may very well exist.
