 I'm not a member of ASCAP.  This is not about me
 except that I take personal umbrage at unethical
 practices.  And I've had plenty of experience
 dealing with corrupt institutions, including
 unions.  Bear in mind that some of the people
 you are talking to on this list have grievances
 going back a considerable period of time, based
 on experience (not theory).  That can lead to 
 apprehensive and resentment.

 Hopefully you will be one of the champions of
 propriety for your generation.
