Actually RapidCue was developed and paid for by you, me, and all ASCAP and
BMI members - it's a co-development project of ASCAP and BMI.

But just as with MediaGuide, what's paid for by all the members is often
only used to benefit a selected few. With MediaGuide, we all paid millions
for it (and continue to each year) but it's specifically not used to track
and pay royalties on TV, only radio - which of course benefits the
songwriters greatly. RapidCue is paid for by everybody, but only those with
"significant" catalogs are allowed to use it.
