Not really. I don't want to see it from their selfish POV. Business can certainly be conducted to a level of integrity, which obviously isn't the case here.  Tell me about their POV next time you get a check for 3 bucks... Our music is gradually being marginalized, placed in the lowest category possible. It takes a lot less skill for 4 idiots who can barely tune their instruments and have more metal hanging in their faces than a junkyard, than it does for a film composer who spent most of his life getting better at what he/she does. 
Film scores are responsible for 80% of the emotional content in so many movies, without a good score, most of these films wouldn't even make it to Uncle Joe's Festival, never mind getting distribution and their retirement funds. And yet, ASCAP and other people actually think they can slowly phase film scores away and have a bunch of stupid tunes replacing it. Can you actually see how ridiculous and clueless their intentions really are ?
