Feature means the 'music' has to 'connect' one way or
another......... just to have a song in a scene does not mean it
connects.
The songs in Greys Anatomy are interesting............ very vague
connection, but !!!!!
How about Boston Legal... should those 'vocal samples' be paid Feature.
C'mon now.......... let's all wake up before the meteor of digital
downloads and no performing rights impacts, and cut the crap........
as one VERY brave ASCAP CEO used to walk around ASCAP meeting with
the badge 'Music is Music' [Messinger** I think].......... music is
paid for by the broadcasters at 1-1.
1-1 it is, anyone who thinks otherwise is a HUGE part of the problem
we all face.
