Hi James,

I've been thinking about your disappointment re the composers who did  
not support your request on the watermarking issue.

I've arrived at the conclusion, the composers shouldn't have to.

ASCAP PROMISED a board member more than a decade ago watermarking  
would be in place in 6 months, Lofumento as far as I know and recall  
told YOU watermarking was ''''imminent'''.
DW is still banging away in that area..........  so why isn't  
watermarking in place?

The bottom line........... none of us should have to  lift a single  
finger to make things better, or make things right.

We have board member reps who know what they really should do, and  
quickly,  we have staff who certainly know what to fix, and how to  
fix 'it'.

Why don't they?

Who is really pulling the strings........ Publishers?

Are our reps, now at least 3 of them, so weak they can't hold the  
board to ransom in order for honesty and accuracy to prevail?

Elections are coming and maybe DW needs real power alongside him.
