To the ProList--

This is all good discussion regarding the PRO's blanket licenses and
alternative forms of licensing available to broadcasters.

For some of us, however, there's a fundamental lack of understanding as to
what's going on with these deals. Ignorance kills us every time.

Over the years, I've tried to document "the big stuff" via a body of
articles for Film Music magazine. While I don't expect any awards for this
effort, I'm the ONLY composer in the country who has written bulletproof and
uncensored articles on these topics.

If direct and source licenses confuse you, and how they're "hidden" in
contractual language in your agreements, PLEASE, take advantage of the free
and accurate information available to you. It's not rocket science.

Besides, many wookies risked their lives bringing you the info. It may be
important to understand that the ENTIRE motivation behind the founding of
the Film Music Network, Film Music Magazine, AND this discussion list was to
provide reliable information in an arena where virtually NONE was available.
