MCPS commission rate changes

MCPS is able to ease the commission rates it charges on all UK audio  
product licensing schemes by 1% for the remainder of 2007. This will  
take effect from the MCPS September distribution.
MCPS monitors its financial position throughout the year and aims to  
make the minimum deductions possible from members at all times.
The change to the audio product commission rates is due to strong  
performance in other areas of MCPS licensing.
Since late 2005, MCPS has been recovering costs in defending the  
online Copyright Tribunal reference. This has taken the form of a  
1.5% deduction from members' distributions. Costs of the Tribunal  
have now been recouped and the deduction has been removed with  
immediate effect.
