[Fmpro] Pump and $MTV$

Pete, that concerns me.   What library was repping your stuff that MTVN 
refused to pay?   Or was it a direct license situation through a music supervisor 
on one of the popular MTV reality shows?   Because I do remember situations 
with Real World, Laguna Beach, and other MTV shows like that that used music 
supervisors, and there were quite a few indie artists who signed gratis license 
agreements (sync/master) in exchange for getting placements on those shows 
because of the cache involved.   It was up to the music supervisors to find free 
music because MTV couldn't afford the pop songs when the DVD rights came 
a-callin'.    But those situations were the minority -- basically just the 
high-profile MTV shows.   MTVN as a whole pays a fortune every year for sync & master 
rights, both on library music and standard label stuff.

What music libraries were offering free music to MTV?   I'm dying to know!
