Kerry,
How long ago did you work for them?
It's my own Library / Instrumental Catalog. I was
licensing through Music Supervisors for both very
unpopular, and very popular, MTV reality shows.
I don't know what libraries/composers went for a "no
sync/master" deal. Apparently enough to keep the
policy going.
When negotiating, one of the top MTV Music Supervisor
actually got pissed off at me on the phone saying,
"Why did you even send us the music if you knew we
don't pay Sync/Master." Ah, I'll take "cause I wanna
eat" for 200.
