Greetings all--
There's a riveting documentary on John Williams, circa 1980, posted on
YouTube. In six parts, the thrust is the scoring of "The Empire Strikes
Back," but it also discusses a number of films scored by JW to that date.
You'll love the sprockets and analog tape, to be sure! But it's a rare
glimpse into the creative life of a very private man, and I most enjoyed his
cogent commentary on film scoring and other musical subjects.

If you've not seen this BBC production, it's certainly worth the time. As
advertised, this kind of thing is RARE.
