[Fmpro] HDTV and Logic Audio

Susan,
I've had similar issues. I receive my film with timecode burned on the QT
and I notice that the sync remains true to those numbers (the burned
timecode) even when the numbers on the Logic counter don't quite match up.
I give my timing cues for the sound files based on the QT numbers and let
the mixing engineer worry about the exact placement. Since I get to review
the cues after they're in the mix before it goes to final print I can see if
there are any discrepancies. 99% of the time there aren't.
I also get 'white-outs' with Logic when I stop the QT at certain points,
where the frames disappear entirely. This may have something to do with the
way 'float' works. I guess you're really 'floating' and not 'syncing'.
