[Fmpro] FMPRO Digest, Vol 29, Issue 15

Well as far as THIS thread is concerned he has no desire for change and has
contributed zero to this particular thought. The only thing he has done is
to derail the positive suggestions we were FINALLY getting to after a week
of debate. I have deep respect for Les and I don't doubt he has tried to
help in his own way a number of times over the years. But as far as this
thread, this idea, well read unbiased and you should be able to see there is
nothing other then his desire to tear apart any movement forward we were
making here. I was asking people to dream with me and say what they wanted
from an ideal situation, as one way to do the very beginnings of organizing
thoughts and creating goals collectively. And his only response was
everything in the world was tried already and there is no use and why don't
I personally buy a ticket to NY and confront these people in the same manner
as his failed attempts. Sorry Vic but that is not the way, we already know
it doesn't work, thanks to Les. I know he is your buddy for a long time, and
I think he is a great guy whose anger helps to bring to light lots of
situations. This thread however he is out of line and has destroyed the
momentum that I worked so hard to get started on. Let's drop the ego crap
here people and lets try and really dig into some forward thinking and make
some real change!

Dear Chris,

Your posting, copied below, is one of the most ill-informed, insulting and
ignorant I have had the displeasure to read.? You have no idea to what
lengths Les had gone to in an unselfish effort to benefit the lot of
composers.? He has given time, money and effort to what he believes is a
just cause.? I don't know?what your reference to erasers and symphonies is
trying to imply but to say Les is throwing a cog in a wheel is inexcusable.?
If you do a quarter?of what Les has done you may just be able to hold your
head up high.

I think we are all trying to lead the charge a little bit. Every person that
is posting positive ideas. We don't have a piece of paper or an eraser but
you want a symphony in 5 minutes? No you don't even want the symphony, you
just want to throw a cog in the wheel so that any possible chance for
someone else to have success will be destroyed and you can say SEE I TOLD YA
