[Fmpro] Poop......... instead of 'turd'

I thought so but I wanted to be sure! :-)

Fundamentally the impulse to improve things is
a positive thing. However, the collectivist
approach is almost certainly fatally flawed.
  The marketplace is brutally individualistic,
 and will increasingly require entrepreneurial
solutions. What those might be I'm not smart
 enough to know.

Guys like you Les, who have been around, can
provide valuable insights that should be
carefully considered. A vision for the future
is going to have to be based on new and
innovative approaches if one hopes to capture
the imagination and loyalty of other
 practitioners, particularly transnationally.

 2 cents more,

 Rick

Hence the tone of my reply ;-)

There is a way to get things done/changed.......... be an A list guy and then do something.

The A lis composers [allegedly] only get $0.20 for their scores the same as anyone else......... so why aren't they kicking up when a song used as per thewir score is paid $1.00

    Les,

Uh-oh. Big misunderstanding! I assure you I was most certainly NOT calling you anything. The point I was trying to make was that Chris (Alpiar) by beating this thing to death, was engaged in an activity analogous to polishing a turd: a futile ridiculous exercise. Sorry Les, I'll try to be more precise in the future.

      Hi Rick

I've been called many things, but never a turd ;-)

Or maybe there is some connotation in your text which, as a new
      American, escapes me ;-(

Here's something for Chris........... during the time of the AACO I
was asked by the CEO of PRS to go and work for them as their US
Rep**. [since I had stirred the pot in the USA]............ oh boy,
could I have used the salary [since I was headed for a BK] which was
by no means small, but that would have meant being a mercenary and
      giving up the fight.

I decided to stick it out with my 'fellows'............ they sure
      paid me back !

** I'm sure those PRO staffers who read this list will be pleased to
know I didn't take the job since I would have made life hell for many.
