[Fmpro] Broken Links

Hi JB,
Thanks. I got this info from a techie on another list. It does
appear to work. For followup, I tried another method where you assign
a link to a phrase. In Outlook on a PC, you highlight and right click
on the phrase and you'll find a menu item for assigning a link to it.
Follow the dialog, type in your link, and Interestingly, the word or
phrase gets underlined and the link follows it with, yes, you guessed
it, the brackets < > before and after the actual link. Apparently
Microsoft believes it's a good idea to place those brackets to avoid
link chopping. On a mac in the Mail app, it's even better. You just
right or control click on a highlighted word or phrase and select Link/
add. A window will appear into which you can type in or paste a
sixteen foot link if you like, and it will be imbedded in the word/
phrase as a hyperlink. Very slick. Here's one to demonstrate. You
see these in many professional/advertising emails:

Mark Northam's Way Cool Website

Click it. It works. Much more elegant that typing out a huge link
into an email, and much easier to read and immediately understand.

Best,
James
