Hi Pete,

Heartfelt condolences.

My Dad was a founder member of a Brass Band in the UK... hence I  
started on cornet aged 9 [apparently the rules then said the lungs  
weren't ready until such an age].
He passed a couple of years ago aged 93.

I was eventually the Flugel horn player in the band, and in fact will  
be in the UK during Aug and will 'attempt' to puff up to 4th cornet  
for an event, but the lungs are shot ;-)
