I dont think "they" made the product too good, it is more of a
phenomenon that occurred with the dot com era. If only Greenspan's
call of "Irrational exuberance" was paid attention to by more than
wall street and the nasdaq
The problem now is that its been 13 years of MP3s. Millions of kids do
not know of a world where they cant download free MP3s and not pay for
them. That combined with greed of humans is why there is such
resistance to DRM
But marketed correctly and education engaged and policy put in place
that can all be changed quickly so that copyright holders dont
continue to get burned every day.
It requires government to get involved. somehow someway
