[Fmpro] advice needed regarding record interest

Thanks you Michael-
I've been trying to get some clarification from my contact who I can't name.
But she told me all these things that the publisher does and quite honestly,
I'm not qualified to do contract negotiations and other things.  So I'm
trying to understand what I'm accomplishing by creating myself as an inept
entity.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

You are already the publisher...but I believe you can Œreserve¹
A name with ASCAP. I would actually place a call and check
to see if the name you are looking to use is already taken.

And weather or not you are expected to foot the bill for 1500 CDs
has nothing to do with being a publisher...it¹s what¹s in you record
Contract that matters on that front.
